William Patrick Coleman
Obituary

Bill passed away suddenly, unexpectedly and far too soon on Sunday, November 20th, 2005 at the age of 53 while doing one of the things he loved best, playing hockey. An established contractor and business man, accomplished athlete and a dedicated father, Bill is survived by his devoted children, Emily, Raoul and Aiden, their mother Charlotte Sheasby- Coleman, his mother Maxine, brothers Ronnie, Kevin and D'arcy and his sister Cathy. Bill's mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, his rugby and hockey buddies, fellow gym rats, workmates and his many, many friends share in the untimely loss of this vibrant man whose passing reminds us that life is precious and infinitely fragile. Known for his eclectic taste in books and movies, his off-beat sense of humour and his proficiency in, and dedication to, fitness and sport, Bill was unique and unforgettable in his embrace of life. Most of all, though, he will be remembered for his passion for being a Dad and for the time, energy, love and commitment he gave to his children. They are comforted in knowing that he will be with them always. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 25th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home Ltd., 63 Mimico Avenue, Etobicoke and a celebration of Bill's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th at Wesley Mimico United Church also on Mimico Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations for a memorial rugby award at the Crusader's Rugby Club in Bill's honour would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.hoglefuneralhomes.com. The family is most grateful for all the loving support they have received from so many people and ask everyone to remember how important they were to Bill and how much he loved life. We'd be fools not to ride this strange torpedo to the end.
